Somehow I'm changing my blog.

Not really because I've decided to change my blog on it's 300 post anniversary (it says 300 posts on my dashboard because a lot of my unfinished drafts are actually still counted as a 'post'), but more of because everyone needs some change, for reasons which somehow can't be described by words.

Have fun guessing the new URL since the blog will be moved to a more private but still freely accessible location, although I doubt much people actually give a damn about what goes on in this desolated little private printing press.

Yesterday was Good Friday, so some of us (class) went to Mr Chan's house because he invited us.

Jonathan
Me
Chuyong
Si Hui
Stephanie
Yen lin
Brent
Wenyu
Arul
Ying

Anyway the games were decent but the hour long talk about Jesus and his love was pretty much irrelevant for us as we weren't from his church or whatever yeah. But the stories by the people about how God changed their lives seemed quite interesting to me although I'll never get a religion.

Anyway after that we went to AMK hub to play a bit of arcade/watch movie/ eat dinner. Me and Chuyong blocked steph like crazy during Daytona; then I continued crashing steph while Chuyong sprinted off for the victory.

Then we went to eat dinner, then went to watch Shinjuku Incident.

It's so freaking gorey and violent that it was just comedic.

Eguchi (a mafia boss) goes to Jackie Chan and tells him he has 2 very big murders (both the bigshots in the mafia organization) for Jackie Chan to commit, leading everyone to think these 2 murders will take up another half an hour of plotting and executing.

Suddenly the screen changes; camera angle on the behind of the 1s murder victim.

"Hey blahblah (can't rmbr name)"

**Guy turns around**

**Jackie Chan rams a knife into the guy's belly**

**Guy gives a wtf look**

**Jackie Chan wrestles the dying guy onto the floor and chokes him and breaks his neck, as if a knife in his chest can't kill him**

**Then scene rapidly switches to a busy road where a mafia bigshot is boarding a car.**

"Hey Takako"

*Takako turns his head*

**Jackie Chan shoots him on the head**

**Jackie Chan runs off**

It's absolutely roflmaobbq.

Then the last part where Jackie Chan does a sprint through all the people while getting knives and everything thrown into him, was totally Tropic Thunder.

Then yeah of course he dies.

AND OF ALL DAYS TO WATCH IT WE WATCHED IT ON A GOOD FRIDAY.

Anyway after Shinjuku incident we went to Macs for some icecream, talked some crap, then went home lorh.

Wasn't exactly a bad trip, but wasn't THAT good either, but was pretty fun I guess.

Everyday feels like such a long wait.

Today went down to HCC to do service trials instead of Chen Su Lan lol.

Anyway HCC I got some damn funny kid (pri 4) to tutor so it was so funny la haha

He had to do his xi zi so he kept trying to slack by talking to me then everytime i would be like "eh shhhhh you finish doing 1 more then i talk to you/magic trick/show you what i'm learning in school okay? =) "

Then he kept doing, then talk, then try to talk more, then do, then talk etc until he took like 1 hr+ to finish like half the words.

Then I realised whoa ho seh left like 15-20 min then his studying time over then if he havent finish his xi zi he confirm will go home do, so might as well make him finish now right.

So I was like "EH come you say you veh pro right my chinese noob"

he was like "ya duh im better than you"

I took out my zuo wen book (empty) and "eh come we race I start from some ci yus earlier"

he was like "ok i won't lose to you cos im better than you"

LOL in the end I lost cos I wrote each word 1 more time than him and I had more ci yus to write but HEY I WAS ONLY 1 CIYU SLOWER THAN HIM SO CLOSE MARGIN.

Better thing is that I MADE HIM FINISH HIS XI ZI HAHAHA I WIN BEHIND THE SCENES

Not the point la hor it was just damn fun and funny ahaha

So I decided I will sign up go HCC do service! =D

I realised why I've been feeling so listless recently, and that's because I realised that I haven't really found what I wanted to focus in this year.

Without this "centre" in your life where everything revolves around as peripherals, life seems pretty much without purpose.

Be it scouts, the class, interact, or academics I still haven't figured out which should be my main focus.

Scouts is still a strong commitment, but I will have pretty much nothing too tight on me after campfire.

Interact, no idea, but there's nothing much going on nowadays. I was unable to go for nearly all the service centre trials because of either lesson hours or scouts commitments so I only have next tuesday free for service centre trials, yaye -_-

The class is still a fun bunch of people to hang around with, but sometimes I stare at the meaning behind the friendships made and the degree of superficiality behind it, maybe it seems to be a mirage, albeit a great and mindlessly fun-filled one.

Academics is the reason why I'm hanging around in school, not idly puffing smoke rings in void deck unlike some other teenagers. Academics is pretty much a bore to be honest, and every lecturer leaves a new taste in my mouth. But doing all the tutorials can be a mindburn at times and sometimes it just sucks to realise that the ultimate reason we're doing all this is just for a nice-looking A level cert, however useful it may be. Sometimes our vision is already so narrowed down that the only thing we see is to score for our A levels, and not question the purpose behind our education. So what if a guy understands the motion of a projectile, or speaks the language of chemical bonding, or is able to ramble on and on regarding price elasticities, or is able to churn out answers to binomial poisson and normal distribution questions like a machine, or be able to profess his knowledge about the mass media.

What is the point, really? Sometimes we just walk a path because the path has been paved by the forces of society and history, and your mind is already shaped and moulded in such a way such that you only able see the rationality behind following the path which you were "meant" to follow, and you are not be able to step out of what you have been taught to see and see what you should.

Education is like a drug; the better you do, the higher you go, the more time and effort you invest in, the more you can't back out of it, the more you can't turn away from it. As they say, the better your grades are, the more career choices you have. Sounds true. But the better your grades are, the more expectations, subconscious or otherwise, there are on you, be it originating from yourself or your peers and parents. The higher the expectation, the more pressure you feel in taking up a career befitting of what you are fully capable of, and the more tightly bound you are in choosing your job. Why be a social worker when you have straight As deserving of a career in law or medicine?

Such incoherent and random rantings.

Okay back to my point I haven't really got a clue where my life should revolve about, but right now it seems to be campfire alright. COMING IN 3 WEEKS MANNNN.

This year I'm suddenly like, I don't know, think about things a lot. That's because I haven't got a mindless past-time like dota or anime. Arghhhh this sucks maybe I should start playing golf with my father again.

In the end I went for Maris Stella's 40th anniversary campfire but I left slightly early, during souvenir presentation.

Anyway today:

1100-545 Study with Zhixuan in school.

545 - 615 A bit of tennis in school with Zhixuan and Dehong

Then went for Maris Stella 40th Anniversary campfire. I was just sitting on the bus when Hiokyang Joel and Amos boarded the bus lol.

Yesterday's tennis session was damn fun and tiring. Me and Bryan started playing at 8, while the rest came at 8.50 or so.

Anyway today went Sarimbun for another recce, and got pwned by mosquitos.

Then went for Crescent campfire, which I practically stoned through because the mood was quite ugh.

Shall not go for campfire tomorrow because I'm feeling so bored ahhhhhh~~~~
